Meet the Powerful 2021 Ram 1500 Truck

The 2021 Ram 1500 truck is a model that's sure to be a hit with our customers at Gandrud Dodge Chrysler Jeep in Green Bay. This truck has always been a beast, and for this year, it has gotten several upgrades. There are now more high-tech components for you to take advantage of, including those that can better equip the truck to tow cargo safely. Most notably, there's a new trim, the TRX. The TRX has over 700 horsepower and has the bold looks to match its powerful engine.

There are a number of other trims to choose from:

In addition, we carry a few special edition trucks. There are Built to Serve models that are inspired by those who serve, and specific trucks pay homage to those who have fought on the land, on the sea, and in the air. As we mentioned, the TRX is a cut above the rest. It's powered by a Hellcat motor, which is a 6.2-liter HEMI V8 engine. The TRX is fast off the line and is capable of handling tough terrain. Helping in this regard are high-quality brakes, underbody plating, 11.8 inches of ground clearance, and an electric-locking rear differential.

Besides the Hellcat engine, there are several other engines that can be found under the hood of a 2021 Ram 1500. Options include:

• A 5.7-liter HEMI V8 with eTorque (which is a mild hybrid system) and a towing capacity of 12,750 pounds
• A 5.7-liter HEMI V8 with 410 pound-feet of torque and nearly 400 horsepower
• A 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 with eTorque that delivers nearly 270 pound-feet of torque and over 300 horsepower
• A 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 that has best-in-class torque and a towing capacity of 12,560 pounds

If you plan on towing cargo, you'll appreciate having smart towing features. Trailer Sway Control and Electronic Stability Control can help you keep your trailer moving in the right direction, as can Electronic Roll Mitigation. There are available power-folding tow mirrors that can be very useful when it's hard to see what's behind you. The blind spot monitoring system on the truck can take into account the length of your trailer. In addition, there is an available 360-degree surround view camera system. It uses five different cameras to give you a better idea of what's going on around you. You could even hook up two more cameras onto your trailer to give you a live feed of specific areas. It's always a good idea to be aware of your surroundings.

A feature that brings a lot of attention to the Ram 1500 is the truck's multifunction tailgate. We love showing this component off to our Ashwaybenon customers, as it comes with a lot of surprises. The tailgate has a 60/40 split, so it can be opened in a few different ways. The swing-away doors can open up at angles of 88 degrees, and they accommodate those situations when you may need to use a forklift to load things into the bed. By swinging out the doors, it could be easier to load bulky items and clean out the bed. Of course, the tailgate can also swing down for those times when a traditional configuration works best.

If you want your next truck to have all sorts of modern equipment, you're in luck. The new Ram 1500 can be set up with a head-up display, a digital rearview mirror, and a massive 12-inch touchscreen. This means that you'll pretty much have instant access to a variety of information. Your mirror can display a live feed of what's behind you as you back up, the head-up display will make you aware of things like the speed limit or incoming calls, and the touchscreen can act just like a tablet. It has split-screen capability and physical controls in addition to a responsive touchscreen. SiriusXM Satellite Radio, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and navigation can all be integrated into the truck's infotainment system.
